Created in 2015 at the initiative of tourism stakeholders, the destination brand “Provence – Enjoy The Unexpected” celebrates a Provence that is authentic, creative and full of surprises. It brings to life a collection of official products designed in collaboration with local companies, each embodying the excellence of Provençal craftsmanship and art de vivre in their own unique way.
Today, the collection brings together more than sixty exclusive creations, developed with eight iconic regional houses including Barbotine, Le Roy René, La Corvette, Terre d’Oc, François Doucet, Jog Éditions, Maison Craquelin and Bastide du Laval. Each contributes its story, expertise and vision of a contemporary Provence.
Designed — and for the vast majority crafted in Provence — these objects are the result of passionate work, often rooted in long-standing artisanal and family traditions. Through them, the brand promotes local, responsible production with meaning, while highlighting the women and men who continue to preserve and pass on the region’s unique skills and heritage.
The visual identity of the collection is created by artist Alice Van de Walle. Her distinctly contemporary graphic universe draws inspiration from the landscapes, colors and nature of Provence. Through vibrant and delicate illustrations, she reveals a Provence that is diverse, sensitive and alive.
Each piece in the collection becomes an invitation to take home a fragment of Provence — unexpected, inspiring and deeply authentic.
