Limitations
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Marseille Provence airport, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for Marseille Provence airport:
- Non-text content and images: Images carrying information on available departures do not have textual alternatives. Decorative images are not properly ignored by assistive technologies. The carousel bullets on the homepage are no longer present when the stylesheets are disabled. Emoticons or formatting using characters are not hidden from assistive technologies or do not have an alternative. The downloadable PDF documents do not have an accessible version.
- Frames: Frames for flight booking or displaying plans do not have titles. Frames displaying videos or the virtual assistant have an irrelevant title..
- Use of color, contrasts and visual information: Information about available or non-available flights is given only by color. Some texts have too little contrast with their background. Some interface components have too little contrast with their background. CSS background color declarations when background images are present are not implemented. Some links whose nature is not obvious are not sufficiently visible compared to the surrounding text. Information about the date or the current page is sometimes given solely by the form.
- Info and relationships in tables: In departure lists or parking rates, complex data tables lack summaries. Data tables lack titles. Data tables have undeclared headers. Data tables have headers not associated with their cells.
- Links: Links are not descriptive enough. Some links do not have a title.
- Compatibility with assistive technologies: Interface components such as accordions, carousels, and dialog windows are not compatible with assistive technologies. Hidden content is rendered to assistive technologies and should not be.
- Keyboard: Some interface components are not keyboard accessible. The focus ring is not always visible.
- Page title, structure and semantic: Some pages do not have a relevant title. Tags are used for presentation purposes only. The content is not always properly structured with headings. Some content structuring tags are missing or not named. Some successive content (textual content in list form) is not structured in lists.
- Resize Text, reflow and text spacing: Some content is no longer readable when the user applies a 200% zoom. Content cannot always be fully displayed or may require horizontal scrolling when viewed in a window with a width of 320 px. Text spacing leads to a loss of content.
- Forms: Form fields lack labels. Some form fields have irrelevant labels. Fields of the same nature are not grouped together. The button labels are not all relevant. In some forms, the mandatory nature of certain fields is not indicated and input validation is not implemented accessibly, as error messages associated with fields are not announced by assistive technologies when the focus is on that field.
- Navigation: Content grouping zones present on multiple pages cannot all be reached or avoided. There is no skip link or quick access to the main content area. The tab order is not always consistent.
- Continuous movement: The moving carousel is not controllable by the user.
