Aware of the importance of its integration within the local area, the airport coordinates the consideration of neighbouring communities’ interests through a range of initiatives, including the biannual Environmental Consultative Committees, regular meetings with local authorities and community associations, and the Aerovision flight tracking platform.
The airport is actively committed to reducing noise disturbance for nearby residents within its sphere of influence. Its proactive measures include:
- Encourage the renewal of airline fleets by promoting the deployment of quieter, next-generation aircraft.
- Continue funding sound insulation measures for eligible properties.
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving approach and departure procedures and reducing noise impacts.
