Under the soft light of a Provençal morning, Marseille Provence Airport hosted the third edition of its Job Fair. This event has become essential for those seeking to build their future here, in the heart of a region undergoing rapid transformation. With its diversity of professions, strong local dynamics and new opportunities, this day has become an unmissable event for candidates and recruiters alike.
Success that continues to grow
On Thursday 12 February, more than 3,000 people expressed an interest in the forum, but only 1,600 were able to attend. This increase in attendance is driven by a trend confirmed by France Travail: the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region is one of the most dynamic areas in the country in terms of employment, with an unemployment rate that has been falling steadily since 2022 (source: France Travail, Regional Observatory).
The airport is playing a key role in this regional momentum. Nearly 4,700 employees already work there on a daily basis, and the hub continues to attract talent from near and far.
A crossroads of professions, reflecting a region on the move
This year, 20 exhibiting companies were present: from security to airport assistance, from retail to logistics, all were gathered to prepare for recruitment for the high season.
100 positions were available, reflecting the diversity and technical nature of the aviation industry:
• customer-facing roles (reception, sales, service, cleaning);
• specialised roles (traffic controllers, aircraft mechanics, security).
This diversity illustrates the ongoing transformation of the airport, where every skill plays a role in making travel smoother, more responsible and more responsive to passengers' needs.
A driver for the local economy, looking to the future
In the PACA region, demand for labour remains strong: more than 270,000 recruitment projects were declared in 2025, particularly in services, logistics and mobility (source: Labour Requirements Survey, Bpifrance & France Travail).
The forum is part of this regional dynamic, while supporting major transformations in the aviation sector:
• gradual decarbonisation of operations, with the arrival of sustainable aviation fuels;
• diversification of airport activities;
• continuous improvement of dialogue with local residents, for more harmonious and attentive development.
By bringing together so many stakeholders around a single project, the airport is confirming its desire to grow differently: with moderation, responsibility and openness to the world — as a promise made to the region.
An event that reflects the spirit of the airport: human, open, shining!
Beyond the figures, this 2026 edition was above all about stories of encounters, new momentum and paths opening up.
It served as a reminder of the power of this place where travellers, professionals and residents come together — a true crossroads of cultures and energies, faithful to the very identity of the airport.
A huge thank you to the teams involved: thanks to them, Marseille Provence Airport continues to be a leading employer and an essential partner for the future of the region.
